Job description

  • Design, build, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using AWS Glue (PySpark), Apache Iceberg, and AWS data services.
  • Develop and maintain Amazon Redshift data warehouse solutions, including schema design, stored procedures, materialized views, and SQL performance tuning.
  • Implement data modeling, data quality validation, and governance practices to deliver reliable, analytics-ready datasets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional data product teams to onboard new data sources, establish data contracts, and support enterprise analytics.
  • Troubleshoot production data pipelines and manage deployments using CI/CD, ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and operational excellence.

Requirements

Our client, a leading agriculture and crop solutions company , is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Data Engineer , you will be part of the Digital Data Platform team supporting enterprise data product teams across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills , excellent problem-solving abilities , and effective cross-functional communication , which will align successfully within the organization., * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of Data Engineering experience .

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, Athena, Lake Formation, S3, and Python (PySpark) .
  • Advanced SQL expertise, including complex queries, query optimization, dimensional data modeling, and ETL development.
  • Experience with Apache Iceberg (or similar open table formats), data governance, CI/CD, GitHub, and database migration tools such as Liquibase.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality, production-ready data pipelines.
