Job description

LHH is seeking a Technical Support/Service Desk Specialist for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Uniondale, NY. This role is ideal for a junior to mid-level IT support professional with L1/L2 helpdesk, systems, or technical support experience who enjoys solving end-user issues in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment., * Provide technical support to end users by responding to, troubleshooting, and resolving service desk tickets through completion.

  • Support hardware, software, printers, phones, network connectivity, VPN, email, sign-on, access, and password-related issues.
  • Assist with deployment, imaging, user configurations, onboarding and offboarding, equipment moves, installations, and mobile device support.
  • Set up and support audio/video meetings in conference rooms, including Zoom phone and video support.
  • Use Freshservice or a similar ticketing system to manage and document support requests.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT
  • Prior helpdesk, service desk, systems support, or technical support experience required.
  • Experience supporting Zoom phones and Zoom video required.
  • Experience using a ticketing system required; Freshservice experience is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, printers, phones, network, VPN, access, Windows 11, Office 365 and user account issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with legal applications, document management systems, financial applications, review platforms, or similar systems is a plus.
  • NetDocuments experience is a plus.
  • Information technology degree or related certifications preferred, but not required.
  • A+ certification or other industry certifications are a plus.
