Job description

As an Information Security-IT Technician, you will support Brightstar Lottery's cybersecurity and IT security operations by monitoring systems, maintaining security tools, assisting with incident response activities, and promoting adherence to information security policies and procedures. You will help protect critical technology assets while supporting a secure and reliable operating environment. This role will be located onsite in Lakeland, Florida.

What You'll Do

  • Monitor security alerts and assist with incident response activities as needed.
  • Support the operation, maintenance, and effectiveness of security tools and systems.
  • Review user access, account management processes, and password controls.
  • Apply security patches and assist with system update implementations.
  • Maintain documentation related to security procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure systems, devices, and users comply with established security policies.
  • Participate in security awareness initiatives and stay current on emerging cybersecurity threats.
  • Perform other duties as assigned., * Regularly lift 20-40 lbs; items over 50 lbs require a team lift or approved equipment.
  • Perform bending, reaching, twisting, and material handling throughout the workday.
  • Use hand tools and complete repetitive tasks as needed.
  • Work in environments that may include noise, heat, inks, paper dust, and moving equipment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT, cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience; candidates currently pursuing a degree will be considered.
  • Foundational understanding of computer networks, operating systems, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments and virtualization platforms such as VMware vCenter and VDI environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information securely and responsibly.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is required

Benefits & conditions

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $39,848 - $103,002. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance. Note: programs are subject to eligibility requirements.
