Working directly alongside the full-time Network Engineer, this person will handle day-to-day break-fix tickets, site support, and infrastructure maintenance - freeing the full-time engineer to focus on project-based work and strategic initiatives.

The right candidate is self-sufficient, communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and can manage competing priorities within a part-time schedule. They are decommissioning alot of cisco equipment so that would be nice to have, however, Fortinet would be the primary area of expertise followed by Palo Alto. Palo is more on the IT Security side so this person will not need to be an expert by any means but experience in it would be a nice to have as well.

Support day-to-day operation and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure including switching, wireless, and WAN connectivity

Configure and support Fortinet switches, wireless controllers, and FortiAP deployments across multiple sites

Troubleshoot network connectivity issues across wired, wireless, and site-to-site environments

Work directly with site administrators to resolve local network issues and support project-related activities

Perform routine maintenance including firmware updates, configuration backups, and validation checks

Support VLAN configuration and network segmentation aligned to operational and security requirements

Assist with WAN connectivity troubleshooting including circuits and site-to-site VPNs

Coordinate with vendors and service providers to resolve circuit, hardware, or connectivity issues

Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and SOPs

Provide escalation support to the Service Desk for network-related incidents, Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI): We may use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support parts of our hiring process, including sourcing, screening, and evaluating candidates.
