Software Test Engineer

Our client is seeking a Software Test Engineer to support the migration of legacy automated test systems from LabVIEW to a modern C#-based test framework. This individual will analyze existing LabVIEW applications, understand complex test sequences and functionality, and recreate those capabilities in a new software environment. The role combines software development, test engineering, and hands-on hardware/software integration within a lab setting., * Analyze and interpret existing LabVIEW applications and complex VI architectures to understand system functionality and test requirements.

• Convert and redevelop legacy LabVIEW-based test programs into C# (or C++) applications within a new test platform.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand test requirements for electro-mechanical and electronic products.
• Develop, debug, and maintain automated test software for production and engineering test systems.
• Integrate newly developed software with automated test equipment and hardware platforms.
• Support hardware/software integration activities in the laboratory environment.
• Troubleshoot software and test system issues, making modifications and enhancements as needed.
• Perform hands-on testing, validation, and verification of automated test solutions.

• Experience using benchtop test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital multimeters, or related instrumentation.
• Experience in test engineering, validation, or manufacturing test environments.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $41.00/hr.
