Senior Network Engineer

• Submits status reports to the team manager and provides verbal updates during team meetings.
• Adheres to change management policies by documenting work and representing complex changes in weekly change management meetings.
• Documents administrative items, projects, and support issues to provide references for team members, other teams, and management.
• Completes incidents and requests according to organizational requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Provides network support for the deployment of infrastructure network topology architecture, processes, and reports, investigating functionality issues related to application connectivity, security, and system configurations.
• Performs network administration tasks, including installation, configuration, onboarding of network devices, and implementation of maintenance processes.
• Manages and participates in the monitoring, optimization, and diagnosis of network systems, providing documentation detailing root cause analysis and proposing resolution options.
• Participates in business planning meetings to recommend cost-effective network solutions that meet capacity, scalability, and performance requirements.
• Works closely with team leadership and security teams to review, support, and monitor organizational security initiatives, providing remediation efforts if vulnerabilities are identified.

• Proven skill in project management of Network related projects. [Required]
• Proven skills in both verbal and written communication. [Required]
• Proven skills with Cisco platforms such as Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, Firepower, and Palo Alto Firewalls in a production environment. [Required]
• Proven skills with network operating systems such as Catalyst, Nexus, Linux, and Windows systems. [Required]
• Proven skills in discussing and planning application architecture with cross-functional application, business, technical teams, and third-party vendors. [Required]
• Technical writing skills. [Preferred]

Education:

• High School Grad or Equivalent [Required]
• Bachelor's[ Preferred]

Field of Study:

• Computer Science, Information Systems or Information Technology

Work Experience:

• 5+ of experience in supporting network infrastructure platforms such as cisco identity services engine (ise), wireless flex connect, vpn, content filtering, data center, nexus, catalyst and management. [Required]
• 7+ in the support of an enterprise network platform in a 24x7 environment, including platforms such as wireless, security and route switch. [Required]
• Experience working in a healthcare environment. [Preferred]
