Job description
The Senior Architect / Technical Manager is responsible for leading and managing software development resources while remaining hands-on in the research, design, implementation, and support of software and data solutions. This role serves as a technical subject-matter expert and mentor, guiding development teams through the full software development lifecycle. Responsibilities include configuring and enhancing existing applications, coordinating testing and evaluation of new solutions, and collaborating closely with business partners, product owners, and cross-functional technical teams to deliver scalable, high-quality systems aligned with business objectives., Lead development teams in the evaluation, design, development, and implementation of software solutions Manage the successful delivery of development work within each Sprint and Release, ensuring high-quality output, on-time execution, and alignment with product and business goals Create end-to-end technical designs for Warehouse Management System (WMS) functionality, including inbound, outbound, inventory processes, and API/EDI integrations between WMS, ERP platforms (e.g., SAP), and automation systems Partner with product owners to understand business requirements and translate them into technical designs, code, unit tests, and defect resolutions Coordinate and support training for personnel on information systems and applications Define, document, and maintain application designs and system modifications Identify and direct solutions for complex challenges involving software, hardware, and system integrations Diagnose and resolve failures within software systems and applications Design real-time and batch system interfaces and data enrichment pipelines within a cloud-native data ecosystem Guide teams through all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), balancing technical solutions with business needs Troubleshoot production issues across all severity levels, tracking progress from identification through resolution while ensuring best practices are followed Collaborate with IT leadership, product owners, and business stakeholders to design and enhance cloud-based platform features Analyze KPIs to measure the performance, reliability, and effectiveness of software and data solutions Recommend improvements to programs, system routines, and quality control standards Present recommendations to leadership regarding the selection and implementation of hardware, software, and telecommunications solutions Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends
Requirements
15+ years of experience in a lead software development role 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java, Spring MVC, SQL Server, Git/GitHub, Web Services/APIs, and SQL 3+ years of experience implementing or developing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), including platforms such as Blue Yonder (JDA), Körber, Manhattan, or HighJump Strong understanding of supply chain logistics, warehouse operations, and automation technologies Proven experience mentoring developers, leading technical teams, and managing vendor relationships Strong working knowledge of Azure Data Factory and Databricks Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Advanced skills in programming, systems analysis, and solution design Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to interpret requirements in various formats Demonstrated project management skills for both large-scale and smaller initiatives Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

3+ years of experience with WebSphere, IBM MQ, Drools, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Experience supporting or leading digital transformation initiatives
