Job description
As a Senior Software Developer, you will help drive the further development of our in-house platform. You will develop reliable software, contribute ideas on the technical architecture and ensure that our applications provide optimal support for the day-to-day operations of our laboratories.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and expanding our in-house LIMS platform
- Designing and implementing integrations between the LIMS, ERP systems and various pieces of laboratory equipment.
- Maintaining existing integrations and modernising them where necessary, with a focus on stability and continuity.
- You will contribute ideas on the software architecture and monitor the technical quality and maintainability of the codebase.
- You will carry out code reviews and contribute to testing, CI/CD and technical documentation.
- You will work closely with scientific teams to translate their needs into user-friendly software solutions.
- You will take ownership of projects from analysis through to implementation. Together with your colleagues in the datateam and the scientific teams, you will work on innovative solutions and report to the datamanager.
Requirements
Do you have several years' experience as a software developer and are you ready to take on a key role within an innovative environment? Do you get a buzz from designing robust software solutions and solving technical challenges?, * You have at least 5 years' experience as a software developer and have helped build business-critical applications.
- You have a strong knowledge of Python and/or another modern backend language, and relational databases (such as PostgreSQL).
- You have experience with APIs and system integrations. You know how to successfully connect different applications and technologies.
- You work independently and take ownership of your projects, from analysis and development through to implementation and support.
- You have an eye for high-quality, maintainable and robust software.
- Experience with Odoo, Azure, containers, CI/CD practices and an affinity with a scientific or regulated environment (such as LIMS or pharma) is a plus.
- You communicate fluently in Dutch and English
