Job description

As our Backend Engineer, you'll build the engine behind our platform: designing features that hold up under enterprise traffic, optimizing the paths that can't afford to crack, and partnering closely with Frontend, Product, and Infrastructure to turn business needs into systems that simply work. Reliability doesn't just happen here, we design for it. You care about clean data, resilient systems, and performance that never cracks. Not because anyone will see your code, but because they'll feel it when it fails. At Dyflexis, that's not an option.

  • Design features that handle enterprise traffic across regions
  • Optimize critical paths for performance and reliability
  • Follow patterns for code quality, testing, and release readiness
  • Partner with DevOps on deployments and monitoring
  • Champion operational excellence in engineering decisions
  • Mentor engineers who are growing fast
  • Work in focused 6-week cycles, a deliberate post-scrum method built for builders

Requirements

  • 5+ years building backend systems that hold up under production traffic, with a hand in the architecture decisions behind them
  • Solid experience with PHP (Symfony) and relational databases including MySQL, with real query optimization behind you
  • You've debugged race conditions that only appeared under load, and fixed databases that were keeling over
  • Comfortable with the trade-offs between consistency, availability, and partition tolerance
  • You think in systems, not tickets. When someone proposes a feature, you're already mapping failure modes
  • Comfortable with ownership: you ship it, you own it, you sleep soundly
  • Experience with Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD is a plus
