Job description
Working together with multidisciplinary Agile teams, you will build scalable Java applications, develop APIs, create data pipelines and event-driven integrations, and implement AI capabilities using modern cloud services. You understand how to work effectively in Dutch client environments: pragmatic, collaborative, transparent and delivery-focused. You are comfortable working closely with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, security teams and delivery teams in regulated enterprise settings. You will help embed AI-enabled ways of working across the team, identifying where automation, code generation, test support, documentation and operational assistance can improve delivery while maintaining quality, security and maintainability. By combining software engineering, AI and data expertise, you will help our clients modernize their platforms, unlock business value from their data and deliver secure, future-ready digital solutions.

We are looking for a proactive and versatile Senior Full Stack Java Engineer with a strong passion for AI, Data and Cloud technologies. You combine solid software engineering expertise with a forward-looking mindset and enjoy building secure, scalable and intelligent solutions for Dutch enterprise environments., * A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Science or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise software development
- Proven experience working with Dutch clients and local ways of working
- Strong experience with Java 21, Kotlin, Spring Boot, microservices and Angular
- Experience with Azure Cloud, Kubernetes, Docker and CI/CD using Azure DevOps or GitHub
- Data Engineering experience, including SQL/NoSQL databases, data modelling, ETL/ELT pipelines and event-driven architectures such as Kafka
- Knowledge of modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Databricks or Synapse, as well as data governance principles
- Experience with Generative AI, Azure OpenAI, AI Agents, RAG, Spring AI, LangChain4j or MCP-based integrations
- Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT Codex, Claude Code or similar, applying them responsibly in engineering workflows to improve code quality, testing, documentation and delivery
- Familiarity with MLOps, AI observability, vector databases and AI-ready data architectures is a plus
- A strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, DevOps and DevSecOps ways of working
