Job description
- We design, implement, and enhance secure cloud infrastructure solutions aligned with business strategy and budget requirements.
- We collaborate with engineering teams to architect and deliver scalable cloud-native services.
- We drive automation initiatives across cloud operations, security controls, remediation, and incident response processes.
- We support stakeholders in adopting modern cloud-native architectures and best practices.
- We ensure cloud infrastructure and application architectures align with security, compliance, and software development lifecycle standards.
- We develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to automate deployment and configuration management.
- We monitor, assess, and improve cloud security posture through proactive threat identification and mitigation.
- We contribute to CI/CD pipeline design, implementation, and optimisation.
- We support incident, problem, and change management activities within cloud environments.
- We provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud security technologies, standards, and governance.

We are recruiting a Cloud Security Engineer for a hybrid role based across London, Northampton, or Manchester. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a daily rate of GBP 500 to 575. We work across AWS, Azure, and GCP, and this role offers the opportunity to shape our cloud security platform and infrastructure while driving innovation in cloud-native security, DevOps, and operational resilience. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment where we partner closely with engineering, security, and business stakeholders to deliver secure cloud architectures and improve our product roadmap.
Requirements
- We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer, Cloud Security Engineer, DevSecOps Engineer, or similar.
- We need hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- We expect a strong understanding of cloud security principles, governance frameworks, and security best practices.
- We require experience translating High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs) into practical technical solutions.
- We need strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Java.
- We expect experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- We require advanced knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
- We need experience with security tooling, SIEM platforms, and cloud security solutions.
- We expect knowledge of container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- We require experience working with Windows and Red Hat Linux operating systems.
- We value familiarity with automation and configuration management tools such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet, or similar.
- Experience with Wiz Cloud and Wiz Defend is highly desirable.
- Experience within financial services, fintech, or other highly regulated environments is preferred.
- Exposure to AI-driven security solutions and cloud-native security technologies is preferred.
- A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Professional cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP are preferred.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent are preferred.
