Job description

Seeking a highly proficient Executive Assistant to support the global Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO) at CRH (NYSE: CRH). Must have exceptional interpersonal, communication and computer skills. Seeking someone with years of experience supporting and collaborating with an executive of a large global organization managing multiple priorities, calendars and projects across global time zones. Must have an ability to get along with colleagues, great aptitude for solving problems, finding solutions, and adapting in a demanding and fast-paced environment., * Interface with C-suite executives within and outside of CRH including board members and senior external partners, vendors, and customers.

  • Assist in preparation of executive-level communications inclusive of presentations, emails, memos, and more.
  • Maximizing the CDIO's time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; collecting and analyzing information; initiating phone calls on their behalf, etc.
  • Prepare the CDIO for all engagements and meetings with briefing materials, context, and talking points.
  • Support the CDIO on people management activities including coordinating training sessions, scheduling teambuilding events and town halls, managing communications, etc.
  • Manage and optimize the CDIO's complex global calendar across multiple time zones.
  • Plan and help execute meetings, offsites, and summits inclusive of agenda preparation, capturing of minutes and action items, and publishing key decisions.
  • Prioritize meetings based on business impact, strategic alignment, and urgency.
  • Act as a gatekeeper and decision facilitator for inbound requests.
  • Extensive travel planning includes domestic and international and associated reservations, expense report submissions, and more.
  • On and off-site meeting planning - including all logistics (catering, agenda, facilities, communications, transportation)
  • Prepare materials for site visits, including directions and transfers to remote locations; organize PPE for plant tours; ensure CDIO has appropriate whitepapers and briefing documents prior to site visits.
  • Track metrics, key performance indicators, and execution status for CDIO-level priorities, projects and operational activities.
  • Maintain visibility into key initiatives across the global technology teams to proactively flag risks and misalignment; assist in applicable celebrations.
  • Project manage smaller tasks as identified by the CDIO
  • Accounts payable management for CDIO's office
  • Personal Assistance (running quick errands and other related tasks only when necessary)
  • Coordinating tasks with other Executive Assistants when appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience working as an Executive Assistant in a corporate environment
  • Work within a diverse team, fostering a culture of trustworthiness with the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy and maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to travel to a few events per year to assist the CDIO and others with event planning and coordination
  • Strongly Prefer: Prior c-suite experience, global experience, and support of a technology organization.
