Job description
The selected Software Engineer will support the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor on the System Performance and Analysis - Simulation Team. This role is responsible for providing technical contributions and guidance to modeling and simulation products that directly support the design and development of the GWS capability on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
Seeking candidates who find satisfaction in working on challenging and diverse assignments in collaborative settings across all levels.
Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 6 years of related experience, or a PhD and 4 years of related experience.

Experience with the Atlassian tool suite and software version control tools such as Git and Bitbucket

Experience with Unit Test and System Test Development

Experience with C, GoLang, ADA, and/or Python

Exceptional critical thinking and communication

Capable of working both independently and within a team environment.

Applicants must have a current active in-scope which is required to start.

Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

Must be able to work on-site, in office

Experience with simulation and simulation frameworks

Experience with Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket

Experience with Bamboo, Jenkins, Fortify, Coverity, SQL Databases

Experience with containers and container development

Active Security+ certification
Benefits & conditions
Primary Level Salary Range: $135,800.00 - $203,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
