Job description

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a DevOps & Platform Engineer (Neo4j Specialist) on behalf of our client in Salt Lake City/Midvale, Utah. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with expertise in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD automation, Kubernetes, and Neo4j Graph Database administration. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, deploying, optimizing, and supporting enterprise-grade platform solutions and highly available production environments., Design, deploy, administer, and maintain Neo4j Graph Database platforms in enterprise environments. Manage Neo4j installations, upgrades, clustering, backup/recovery processes, and performance optimization. Develop and optimize Cypher queries and implement graph data modeling best practices. Design, build, and support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, or similar platforms. Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and enterprise Kubernetes platforms. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation solutions using Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or similar tools. Support cloud-native infrastructure in Google Cloud Platform (preferred) and/or AWS environments. Monitor system health, availability, and performance using modern observability and monitoring tools. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 3+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related field. Hands-on experience administering and supporting Neo4j Graph Database environments. Strong knowledge of Cypher Query Language, graph database architecture, query optimization, and graph data modeling. Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages, including: Python Java JavaScript / TypeScript Groovy Bash PowerShell Ruby Experience developing and supporting REST APIs, microservices, and build tools such as Maven and Gradle. Strong experience with Git and source control management best practices. Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and enterprise container platforms. Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or similar tools. Knowledge of Linux and Windows server administration. Experience with monitoring and observability technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK/OpenSearch, or AppDynamics. Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including SQL Server, MySQL, and MongoDB. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Professional certifications in GCP, AWS, Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), Terraform, or Azure DevOps. Experience supporting highly available, mission-critical production systems. Knowledge of DevSecOps, security automation, and vulnerability management practices. Experience mentoring junior engineers and promoting DevOps best practices across teams.
