This is a 1-year contract assignment. (W-2) You will support the development, optimization, and evaluation of linear project routes, including electric transmission lines, natural gas pipelines, water pipelines, and related energy infrastructure.

You have experience in one or more of the following areas:

Utility routing and siting, transmission development, pipeline routing, GIS analysis, environmental permitting, land planning, engineering, infrastructure development, or other linear project development.

We prefer experience with geospatial systems, data analysis, and diverse project teams. You will report to the onsite manager., * Compile and analyze environmental, land use, engineering, permitting, team member, and constructability constraints.

  • Develop routing alternatives using company routing tools and geospatial systems.
  • Conduct desktop assessments (and occasional field-based assessment opportunities)
  • Prepare reports and project deliverables; and support project teams through early-stage development.
  • You will be a technical specialist responsible for developing defensible routing recommendations through the integration of geospatial, environmental, engineering, land use, permitting, and partner considerations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geography, Environmental Science, Planning, GIS, or related field preferred but not required.
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience supporting electric transmission, natural gas pipeline, water pipeline, renewable energy, data center, or other linear infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of electric transmission development, renewable energy generation projects, and data center development is a plus.
  • Experience using geospatial tools and data to evaluate routing opportunities, constraints, and project feasibility.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $45.00/hr. to $50.00/hr.
