Job description

As an Application Development - Advisor I, you will provide technical expertise across Azure-based software development within a Scrum team. You will build, deploy, and support APIs, web applications, and related services while partnering with clients, leadership, and internal teams to deliver secure, resilient, and scalable solutions. Your work helps strengthen application performance, operational stability, and delivery quality across cloud-based platforms.

What you'll do:

  • Design, develop, test, and support Azure-based applications, APIs, and web solutions using modern software engineering practices.

  • Translate software requirements into Agile user stories, technical tasks, and implementation plans that align to business and technical objectives.

  • Partner with clients, leadership, and cross-functional teams to communicate technical concepts clearly and adapt messages for the intended audience.

  • Troubleshoot application, configuration, and deployment issues across development, test, and production environments.

  • Support Azure application deployments, installation, configuration, and validation activities to enable reliable software releases.

  • Improve application performance, resiliency, and disaster recovery readiness through monitoring, tuning, and operational design practices.

  • Apply secure development practices by addressing vulnerabilities, supporting code scanning, and strengthening access controls, identity management, and data protection measures.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation and share knowledge within the team to improve collaboration, support continuity, and strengthen delivery standards.

  • Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience developing, deploying, and supporting APIs, websites, and related software applications using Microsoft .NET technologies in Microsoft Azure cloud environments.

  • 6+ years of experience with full stack application development using C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML, TypeScript, and Angular or React.

  • 6+ years of experience working with Azure services such as Azure App Services, Azure API Management, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Azure Application Insights, Azure SQL, and Azure Functions.

  • 6+ years of experience using development and deployment tools such as Visual Studio, Git, Docker, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

  • 6+ years of experience applying security controls in cloud environments, including code scanning, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and vulnerability remediation using tools such as Fortify, Sonatype, or similar platforms.

  • 6+ years of experience working in Agile and Scrum delivery models, including requirements review, user story development, and cross-functional team collaboration.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.

  • 1+ years of Fiserv systems experience.

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.

  • Experience with Python in cloud-based application development environments.

  • Experience supporting environments aligned to Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA), or Zero Trust Architecture standards.

  • Experience with performance tuning and operational support for enterprise Azure applications.
