UNCOMN is seeking a Cloud Engineer 3-4 (Mid/Senior-Level) to:

  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure cloud infrastructure to support enterprise applications.
  • Provision and maintain cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Develop CI/CD pipelines to support enterprise cloud environment
  • Support application deployments in cloud environments, including containerized workloads.
  • Monitor system performance and availability, implementing solutions to optimize reliability and scalability.
  • Administer and maintain Linux-based systems and cloud-hosted databases in production environments.
  • Manage identity and access controls using technologies such as SAML, OAuth, and federated authentication.
  • Support and maintain AWS and/or Azure GovCloud environments in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Optimize cloud resource utilization to balance performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with development and security teams to support application infrastructure and cloud operations.
  • Document cloud architecture, configurations, and processes to ensure consistency and operational continuity.
  • Stay current with evolving cloud technologies and best practices to support continuous improvement.
  • Design, deploy, and manage application program interfaces (APIs) using languages like Java, Python, and Ruby

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related professional experience, preferably within AWS environments.
  • Must currently meet DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF)/8140 requirements for Work Role 641 Intermediate or Advanced. Please see the 8140 Dashboard (Qualifications Matrix) for more information.
  • Must be comfortable obtaining CompTIA Security+ certification within 30 days of employment. Active Security+ highly preferred.
  • Must be comfortable obtaining a Cloud-based certification or certificate within 30 days of employment. Active Cloud-based certification highly preferred.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance, granted by the US Government, which requires US citizenship. The government also uses 13 adjudicative guidelines to determine an individual's eligibility.
  • Proven experience designing, deploying, and managing enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates) to automate provisioning and management of cloud resources.
  • Hands-on experience administering Linux systems in cloud environments, including configuration, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to partner closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must be willing to obtain relevant certifications as required by future client or contract needs., * Active DoD Security clearance or higher.
  • Knowledge of hardware or software load balancers, VPNs, and firewalls.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and managing various network devices and services.
