Are you looking to grow your traffic engineering career while working on some of the nation's fastest-growing data center developments? As an Engineer in Training (EIT) on Olsson's Traffic & Technology team, you will support traffic studies and transportation analyses for mission-critical data center projects across the United States.
Working alongside experienced traffic engineers, you will assist with evaluating transportation impacts, preparing technical analyses, and developing recommendations that help support new and expanding data center facilities. This role provides an excellent opportunity to build technical expertise while gaining exposure to high-profile projects and industry-leading clients.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support various stages of traffic and transportation analysis and design for data center developments across the United States.
- Collect, review, and analyze traffic and transportation data to evaluate roadway operations, site access, and traffic impacts.
- Prepare technical reports, exhibits, and recommendations that support project planning, permitting, and design efforts.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and assist with client and agency coordination throughout project delivery.
- Apply traffic engineering principles, company standards, and industry best practices while contributing to multiple projects and meeting project deadlines.

You bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Engineer In Training (EIT) certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of related traffic or transportation engineering experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to contribute effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience supporting traffic impact studies, traffic operations analyses, or transportation planning projects is beneficial.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Synchro, SimTraffic, HCS, VISSIM, or similar traffic analysis software is beneficial.
- Experience supporting large-scale site development, industrial, mission-critical, or data center projects is beneficial.
