Job description
Summary: This position supports and improves company systems that enable team members to effectively help the members of our healthcare clients, to improve patient safety and quality outcomes., * Process healthcare eligibility files
- Process Pharmacy Claim files
- Process Medical Claim files
- Process Prior Auth files
- Ad Hoc reporting
- Operational Reporting
- Support of MS Access database with multiple users
- Maintain worklists for Medicare Star Measures and Patient Safety
- Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer/client experience
- Determine database structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications and evaluating current systems and industry standards
- Design, create and maintain databases and tables structures based on business requirements
- Ensure validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements
- Translate use cases into functional applications/automated processes
- Develop and implement high quality ETL and database solutions
- Maintain database performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems
- Analyze and resolve automation/ETL related problems by coordinating with teams to diagnose and fix issues
- Analyze existing SQL queries/procedures for performance improvements
- Develop, implement and optimize stored procedures
- Identify what needs to be done and accept task responsibilities
- Contribute ideas to improve the team processes and best practices based on prior extensive experience
- Documents problems and assists in their resolution
- Provides general system users and management with system analysis and feedback
- Assisting in implementing automated testing platforms
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3-5 years experience as a SQL/Database developer
- Advanced-level ability to write and analyze complex SQL for the purpose of data extraction and processing (writing queries, tuning, SQL profiler, etc.)
- Knowledge of developing and consuming APIs and Web Services with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming
- Strong skills in analyzing and resolving defects
- Strong understanding of data modeling and database design
- Displays professional, positive, and approachable attitude/demeanor and discretion
- Ability to accurately analyze automation opportunities for technical requirements and consider long-term business value, A successful candidate will have experience and competence with most of the following:
- HelpSystems GoAnywhere MFT
- Microsoft SQL Server Expert
- SQL report writing
- Microsoft Access Expert
- Pharmacy Claims
- Medical Claims
Experience preferred, not required:
- Systems Security
- Website support
- Healthcare Eligibility
- Medicare Star Measures
- Medication Adherence (CMS star measure)
- Medication Therapy Management (CMS star measure)
- App development
Education
- BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience
Related Work Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Database Developer or similar role, * Ability to grow with an industry leading health care vendor, * Bachelor's (Required)
