BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Senior IT Engineer to join our client's site in Richardson, TX. This role will support the architecture, deployment, and operational support of information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) solutions for a mission-critical semiconductor manufacturing site.
The position will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy innovative infrastructure and software solutions that digitize and optimize semiconductor manufacturing and business operations.
The Senior IT Engineer will provide operational support for both virtual and physical server infrastructure, working with VMware, Windows, and Linux server architecture and administration. This role will also support the deployment and ongoing management of Kubernetes container-based application environments while helping expand the organization's container platform. The environment includes AI-driven semiconductor automation, equipment integration, fault detection (FDC), and advanced process control (APC) solutions, requiring support for leading-edge infrastructure technologies.., * Architect, deploy, and support IT and OT solutions for a mission-critical manufacturing environment.
- Provide operational support for on-premises server infrastructure, including both virtual and physical environments.
- Work with corporate IT teams to maintain infrastructure standards while supporting 24x7 manufacturing operations.
- Support Hyper-Converged Infrastructure platforms such as Dell VXRail.
- Troubleshoot performance issues related to virtualized and physical server workloads.
- Implement new technology stacks and migrate workloads from physical servers to virtualized environments.
- Collaborate with semiconductor process and equipment vendors to improve infrastructure performance and fault tolerance.
- Participate in meetings with site and corporate teams to troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues.
- Participate in daily factory systems and manufacturing operations tier meetings.
- Partner with Corporate IT and Global Security teams to maintain cybersecurity standards across infrastructure.
Requirements
Candidates must have proven hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments. Experience limited to coursework, tutorials, or lab environments is not sufficient., * Education: Bachelor's Degree.

- 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise server ecosystems.
- 5+ years of experience with Windows Server OS and RHEL Linux 5-9.x.
- 3+ years of experience with ServiceNow or a similar formal Service Management platform and/or methodology.
- 3+ years of experience with virtualization platforms including VMware, vSAN, vSphere, and VCF/NSX.
- 1+ years of hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Proven production experience implementing and managing Kubernetes environments.
- Experience with one or more of the following: Server automation, Infrastructure as Code, Tanium, CHEF, JSON, PowerShell, Ruby, Other scripting languages
- Experience with networking fundamentals including: Firewall configuration, VPN setup, VLANs, Subnetting, IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, NAT, Routing, Switching
- Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and technology resilience strategies.
- Ability to document infrastructure, automation scripts, and system configurations to ensure maintainability and operational continuity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- Experience with Windows patching tools such as Tanium.
- Knowledge of Windows security standards and OS hardening concepts.
- Experience throughout the software development lifecycle, including: Requirements gathering, Design, Coding, Testing, Production support.
- Experience supporting Cisco Nexus and Catalyst network switches.
- Experience supporting Rubrik data recovery solutions.
- Experience supporting IT/OT systems and applications, including:
- Network implementation and segmentation
- Equipment integration and automation
- Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
- Understanding of: SCADA systems, Manufacturing-focused Windows PCs and servers, Industrial network architectures.
- Ability to serve as a change agent and promote organizational improvements.
- Excellent oral, written, collaborative, and communication skills.
- Ability to partner with internal customers at all organizational levels to define problems, identify solutions, and facilitate change.
- Self-motivated and self-driven with the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
