Senior Python Developer

• Design, develop, and test risk applications using Python and object-oriented design patterns.
• Contribute to intraday risk and clearing certainty platforms for OTC and ETD businesses.
• Adopt and leverage an N-tier, component-based architecture.
• Collaborate with business, credit risk, and technology teams to understand and resolve issues.
• Report on project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Mentor junior developers and promote best practices.

We are seeking a Senior Python Developer to join our dynamic Cleared Derivatives Risk Technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python 3.x, messaging systems, and database design and a proven ability to design, develop, and support intraday risk and clearing certainty platforms for OTC and ETD products., * 7+ years of hands-on experience with Python 3.x.

• Experience with pub/sub and queue messaging systems (AMPS preferred).
• Strong database skills including SQL, Oracle, and table design.
• Proficiency in analytical and object-oriented design and programming.
• Ability to work effectively within an N-tier, component-based architecture.
• Demonstrated collaboration and team skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Degree in computer science or a related field.
• Comfort with event-driven paradigms, multithreading, and asynchronous concepts.
• Knowledge of IRS, CDS, repos, and futures/options products.
• Experience with MongoDB, NoSQL, JSON, and design patterns.
• Experience with React.js.
• Experience with Java and object-oriented DB/SQL concepts.
• Familiarity with Bank of America Quartz environment and Quartz stack (DAG, QzRT, QFS Deal Model).
