Job description

This position will support government accounts. Therefore, due to federal export-control regulations, the selected candidate must hold U.S. citizenship, U.S. lawful permanent resident/Green Card status or otherwise have a category of refugee/asylee status enabling them to perform the role without requiring a license under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR)., * Support enterprise cloud and virtualized infrastructure including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of production system issues

  • Perform infrastructure upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management activities across cloud and on-premises platforms
  • Participate in Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes in accordance with ITIL frameworks
  • Develop automation scripts and operational improvements to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures
  • Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, storage, and networking teams to deliver secure and reliable services
  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to support mission-critical operations

Requirements

We are seeking a Cloud Service Provider (CSP) Engineer to support the operation and sustainment of mission-critical private cloud infrastructure for the DISA Managed Services program. This senior engineering position requires strong troubleshooting abilities, hands-on experience with enterprise virtualization and Linux platforms, and the ability to work across multiple technical disciplines. The ideal candidate holds an active Secret security clearance, brings 8 or more years of enterprise infrastructure experience, and thrives in a team-oriented environment supporting high-availability DoD systems., * Active Secret Security Clearance (required)

  • U.S. Citizenship (required)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, virtualization, cloud, or managed services environments
  • Hands-on experience working in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Rocky Linux, or similar Linux distributions
  • Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, or VMware Cloud Foundation
  • Experience with enterprise storage and backup platforms
  • Demonstrated experience with scripting or automation using PowerShell, Python, PowerCLI, Bash, or similar tools

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create clear technical documentation
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and collaborative engineering environments
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift container platforms
  • Familiarity with HPE infrastructure technologies such as OneView, ProLiant, and Synergy
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as OpsRamp, Elastic, Splunk, or ServiceNow
  • Understanding of enterprise networking fundamentals
  • Experience with High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments is a plus
  • Preferred certifications: Security+, VMware VCP, RHCSA/RHCE, CKA, ITIL Foundation, or AWS/Azure certifications

  • United States of America: Annual Salary USD 105,500 - 243,000 in Alabama & Maryland & Oklahoma & Pennsylvania & Utah The listed salary range reflects base salary. Variable incentives may also be offered."
