Job description

A growing, private fintech organization is seeking a hands-on Vice President of Technology to lead its enterprise technology function. This executive will be responsible for the technology foundation that enables the business, including cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, data platforms, compliance, and IT operations. The role offers a long-term path into a Chief Information Officer position., This is not a traditional CTO or software engineering leadership role. The successful candidate will own enterprise technology strategy and execution while partnering closely with Product and Engineering leaders. The initial focus will be transitioning critical infrastructure knowledge from an external technology partner, modernizing the technology environment, and building a scalable internal technology organization., * Lead enterprise technology strategy aligned with business objectives.

  • Own Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, enterprise architecture, networking, and operations.

  • Drive cybersecurity, identity management, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

  • Oversee enterprise data platforms, governance, reporting, and business intelligence.

  • Ensure compliance with PCI DSS and other financial regulatory requirements.

  • Develop technology roadmaps, budgets, and vendor relationships.

  • Partner with Product and Engineering to provide a secure, scalable technology foundation.

  • Build processes, improve operational maturity, and mentor internal technology staff.

  • Lead the transition of infrastructure responsibilities from an external technology partner.

Requirements

  • Microsoft Azure (Azure App Services, AKS, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, Azure Monitor)

  • Enterprise cloud architecture and infrastructure modernization

  • Windows Server, Microsoft Entra ID, networking, virtualization, backup and disaster recovery

  • Azure DevOps, GitHub, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep)

  • SQL Server, Azure SQL, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Power BI

  • Cybersecurity, Zero Trust, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel

  • PCI DSS, SOC 2, governance, risk management, and compliance

  • Experience in fintech, payments, banking, or other regulated environments

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive technology leadership experience.

  • Experience leading enterprise IT, infrastructure, cloud, and security teams.

  • Strong Microsoft/Azure background.

  • Experience supporting organizations in growth-stage or mid-sized environments.

  • Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills., The ideal candidate is a builder who enjoys creating structure, improving processes, and remaining technically engaged. They are hands-on, collaborative, low ego, comfortable wearing multiple hats, and capable of balancing strategic leadership with tactical execution.

Benefits & conditions

Salary : $175,000 - $200,000

Bonus : Up to 20%
