Network Engineer

Job Summary:- We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Network Hands and Feet Support Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing onsite support for network infrastructure, assisting remote Network Engineers and Network Operations Center (NOC) teams with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and replacement of networking equipment at our customer location., * Provide onsite "Hands and Feet" support for enterprise network infrastructure.

• Install, configure, and replace network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and network appliances.
• Perform rack and stack activities for networking and server equipment.
• Install, terminate, label, and test copper and fiber optic network cabling.
• Patch network connections according to network diagrams and customer documentation.
• Perform hardware break-fix activities, including replacement of power supplies, interface cards, SFP modules, cables, and other network components.
• Assist remote Network Engineers and NOC teams with troubleshooting and implementation activities.
• Verify physical connectivity, interface status, cable integrity, and hardware health.
• Access equipment through console connections when required to assist remote engineers.
• Capture console outputs, serial numbers, photographs, and environmental information for remote diagnostics.
• Support network upgrades, migrations, refresh projects, and infrastructure deployments.
• Maintain organized cable management and ensure server rooms and communication closets remain clean and compliant with organizational standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections of network infrastructure.
• Document all work performed, including service reports, asset information, and maintenance activities.
• Follow change management procedures and customer security policies.
• Escalate unresolved issues promptly to senior network engineers or management.
• Provide excellent customer service while representing the organization professionally at client sites.

The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, structured cabling, hardware installation, and physical infrastructure support. This role requires excellent troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with remote technical teams., * Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, LAN/WAN technologies, and Ethernet networking.

• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, HPE, Dell, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or similar networking platforms.
• Knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networking, and structured cabling.
• Experience with copper (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A) and fiber optic cabling standards.
• Familiarity with rack and stack procedures and data center best practices.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot physical layer connectivity issues.
• Experience using console cables and terminal emulation software.
• Basic understanding of routing and switching concepts.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux, and basic server hardware is preferred.

Pay: $26.00 per hour
