Job description

American Trophy specialises in providing custom awards, trophies, and promotional products for a diverse range of events and recognition purposes. Serving schools, businesses, and other organisations, we are dedicated to honouring achievements and milestones through personalised service and high-quality products. We are currently seeking a dedicated and proficient IT Support Specialist to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for all IT-related queries, providing technical assistance and support to our staff., * Provide first-line technical support to on-site and remote employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and company software.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems in a timely and effective manner, escalating complex issues to senior staff when necessary.
  • Manage user accounts, including creation, modification, and deletion in accordance with company policy.
  • Assist with the setup of new workstations and the onboarding of new employees.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software licences, and peripherals.
  • Support the implementation of new technologies and system upgrades.
  • Create and maintain documentation for IT processes, procedures, and user guides.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working in an IT support role or a similar technical position.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/macOS), and office productivity software.
  • Familiarity with network principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • A customer-focused attitude and a commitment to providing high-quality support.
  • Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Professional are highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
