Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a Scrum-based development team supporting enterprise banking applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software quality assurance, test automation, API testing, and system integration testing, with experience working in Agile environments.

This role requires a proactive, T-shaped QA professional who can contribute to test strategy, automation, functional testing, and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

  • Define and implement comprehensive test strategies to maximize test coverage.
  • Design, execute, and maintain functional, regression, system integration, and end-to-end test cases.
  • Perform testing of web applications, mobile applications, and REST APIs.
  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks, preferably using Python-based tools such as Robot Framework or PyTest.
  • Execute API testing using Postman or similar tools.
  • Work with SQL databases (preferably Microsoft SQL Server) for data validation and testing.
  • Manage testing activities using Azure DevOps or similar test management platforms.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, execution, and coordination.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners within Scrum teams.
  • Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of software quality assurance experience.
  • At least 2 years of practical experience working in Scrum/Agile teams.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an IT-related discipline.
  • Strong experience with:
  • Test strategy development
  • Functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
  • REST API testing using Postman
  • SQL databases (preferably Microsoft SQL Server)
  • Test management tools, ideally Azure DevOps
  • Mobile and web application testing
  • Test automation using Python-based frameworks (Robot Framework, PyTest, or similar)

  • Experience within the banking, payments, or credit card domain.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within Agile teams.

  • ISTQB Foundation or Advanced Certification (Test Analyst or Agile Testing).

  • Experience with non-functional testing.

  • Previous experience as a Business Analyst or Software Developer.

  • Experience with Temenos Transact Core Banking System.

  • DevOps exposure is an advantage.

  • Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Effective stakeholder communication.

  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced Agile environments.

  • Passion for delivering high-quality software through automation and continuous improvement.
