Job description

We are seeking an experienced Systems & SharePoint Manager to lead the strategy, governance, and continuous improvement of our SharePoint and Microsoft 365 environment across a complex and fast-paced organisation.

This is a unique opportunity to become the recognised Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SharePoint and M365, driving best practice in information management, collaboration, governance, and user experience. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of critical programmes, ensuring our digital platforms remain secure, scalable, user-focused, and aligned with organisational objectives.

Working closely with senior leaders, digital specialists, information security professionals, and external partners, you will champion innovative ways of working while helping to create a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doing

As the Systems & SharePoint Manager, you will:

  • Own and lead the technical roadmap for SharePoint and Microsoft 365
  • Drive the architecture, configuration, governance, and optimisation of collaboration platforms
  • Develop and implement information management standards, retention policies, and governance frameworks
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, ISO 27001, and information security best practice
  • Act as the primary point of contact and technical authority for SharePoint and M365
  • Collaborate with Digital, Cyber Security, Enterprise Architecture, and Information Management teams to deliver aligned solutions
  • Enhance user experience through training, engagement, adoption initiatives, and continuous improvement programmes
  • Develop knowledge management approaches, including taxonomies, metadata structures, and knowledge repositories
  • Build strong relationships with Microsoft specialists, consultants, and industry networks
  • Champion a collaborative culture that promotes knowledge sharing, transparency, and operational excellence

Requirements

We're looking for a passionate and knowledgeable professional who combines strong technical expertise with excellent stakeholder management skills., * Significant experience managing and developing SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 environments

  • Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, configuration, governance, and administration
  • Experience implementing Information and Knowledge Management (KIM) principles and best practices
  • Knowledge of GDPR, ISO 27001, information governance, and security frameworks
  • Experience designing and implementing governance structures, access controls, retention policies, and compliance processes
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, practical business language
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and relationship-building skills
