Job description
This position is for a Systems Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support solution development, implementation, and transition efforts. The role involves enhancing enterprise visibility, end-user services performance, and operational efficiency. The selected candidate will interact with leadership to align requirements and capability delivery and collaborate with operations teams to address operational gaps., * Develop and manage requirements, guiding projects through a defined engineering process.
- Apply engineering principles for design, implementation, and the creation of build guides.
- Develop a solutions-focused mindset for deploying new tools and technologies.
- Provide training to system administrators on transitioned solutions.
- Ensure capabilities are sustainable after transition to operations.
- Interact with project management and customer leadership to align requirements with capability delivery.
Requirements
Clearance: must be capable of acquiring/maintaining active DOD T/S SCI
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a similar discipline.
Experience: Approximately 12-15 years of related enterprise IT experience.
Technical Skills:
- Strong experience with Active Directory (AD) and related services (GPO, DNS).
- Proficiency with scripting and automation technologies such as PowerShell, Ansible Automation Platform, or DevOps pipelines.
- Familiarity with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
- Knowledge of fundamental networking concepts (OSI model, TCP/IP, VLANs, VRFs).
- Experience with enterprise visibility, ICAM, and infrastructure (transport, compute, storage).
- Understanding of systems engineering processes, requirements analysis, and market research.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and containers is beneficial., * A CISSP or IAT Level III certification is preferred.
- Experience with Active Directory operations and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with the Engineering V-model.
- Proficiency in log analysis.
