Job description
What you get to do every day: You'll write complex queries, shape data for dashboards, ensure data accuracy, and deliver reliable datasets. You'll work closely with dashboard developers and application teams to provide clean, consistent, and easy-to-consume data for mission users.
- SQL Development: Write complex SQL queries involving joins, aggregations, filtering, subqueries, and window functions to support dashboards
- Data Shaping for Visualization: Structure query outputs in a way that is optimized for dashboard consumption (clear naming, grouping, formatting)
- Dashboard Support: Partner with dashboard developers to define and deliver the data required for visualizations and reporting
- Data Validation: Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of datasets used in dashboards
- Query Performance: Identify inefficient queries and make basic improvements to support responsive dashboards
- Requirements Translation: Translate dashboard and reporting requirements into effective SQL queries

- 4-8 years of experience with a bachelor's degree, or 2-6 with a master's degree, * Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write advanced queries (joins, aggregations, subqueries, window functions)
- Experience working with enterprise relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc.)
- Background supporting analytics, dashboards, or reporting pipelines
- Comfortable working in Linux-based environments
- Proven ability to work independently on data-centric tasks and ensure data quality
What is ideal?
- Experience with Grafana, Tableau, or similar visualization tools
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Intelligence Community Experience preferred

- The expected salary range within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $87,000 - $157,450. Final compensation is unique to each individual and will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, geographic location, and contractual requirements. This is not a guarantee.
