Job description

The Systems Engineer is responsible the applications infrastructure across all networks. Technical support to make application security compliant. Responsible for tech precepts implementation and part of a 24/7 on call rotation., * System Design & Implementation: Design, install, configure, and test operating systems, application software, and system management tools.

  • Monitoring & Maintenance: Proactively monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure high availability.
  • Security & Redundancy: Implement and maintain robust security measures, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Automation & Scripting: Develop custom scripts to automate tasks and improve system efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across hardware, software, and network components.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, management, and other departments to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for system architecture, procedures, and support.
  • Technology Evaluation: Research and assess emerging technologies for potential upgrades or new implementations.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in system engineering, testing, or DevOps roles.
  • CI/CD Knowledge: Proven experience configuring CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools.
  • Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of Linux/Unix, version control (Git), and scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar).
  • Methodology: Familiarity with Agile development practices.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with test frameworks
