Job description
We are looking for a Senior Network / SDN Engineer to support an industrial IT/OT transformation in an on-premises environment in Herstal, Belgium. This is a delivery-focused role: you will design, implement and troubleshoot secure network connectivity for platforms, industrial applications, wireless services and shopfloor environments. You will work closely with internal technical teams and external vendors and produce concrete outputs: designs, documentation, validation reports and remediation plans. Main responsibilities
- Design and support secure IT/OT network connectivity.
- Define and document network flows between platforms, applications and infrastructure.
- Configure and troubleshoot:
- VLANs, routing, trunking
- Firewall rules and flows
- DNS, DHCP, NTP, proxy
- Certificates and TLS
- Support network segmentation and security zoning for industrial environments.
- Contribute to SDN design, implementation and troubleshooting.
- Support Wi-Fi 7 readiness for industrial use cases, mobile devices and shopfloor connectivity.
- Work with platform, infrastructure, cybersecurity, application and operations teams.
- Troubleshoot end-to-end connectivity issues (network, wireless, platform, application).
- Produce clear technical documentation: flow matrices, diagrams, runbooks and handover material.

Requirements
- Min 5 years of experience as Network Engineer
- French is compulsory and English nice to have
- Strong experience in enterprise or industrial networking.
- Good understanding of IT/OT environments and their security/operational constraints.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Routing, switching, VLANs, trunking
- Firewall rules, flows and segmentation
- Good knowledge of DNS, DHCP, NTP, proxy, certificates and TLS.
- Strong skills in troubleshooting complex network issues.
- Basic to good understanding of Kubernetes / OpenShift networking (NetworkPolicies, ingress/egress, platform connectivity).
- Experience or strong exposure to SDN
- Ability to work with architecture, cybersecurity and operations teams in a structured way.
- Ability to produce clear documentation, diagrams and handover material.
