Job description

Senior Engineer shall develop foundational software components for Stryker's Robotics and Enabling Technology applications. The scope of the work includes research, analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of software components in the context of Strykers clinical application architectures. The software components are shared across multiple domains and applications., * Develop source code for shared data management components that integrate into the architectures of pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative clinical applications.

  • Participate in SDLC activities for the components, including code review, documentation, integration, testing, defect management, and code analysis.
  • Components are expected to be feature complete such that they meet requirements and/or design specifications.

Requirements

  • Solid background working with C++ and Qt in a Linux environment.
  • Experience with Python scripting and automation.
  • Knowledge of SQL and SQLite databases.
  • Demonstrated experience with managing data architecture, including data models, formats, schemas, and databases.
  • Experience working with 3D geometry. Experience with CAD modeling and mesh processing is a plus.
  • Proficiency with integrated development environments (IDEs) and build systems, with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working with revision control systems and following CI/CD development practices.
  • Familiarity with unit testing as part of the development workflow.
  • Familiarity with data serialization and interchange formats (e.g. JSON).

This is an individual contributor role that requires the use of judgement in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision. Roles typically require a university degree or an extensive amount of practical knowledge gained through experience. Job requires an understanding and application of procedures and concepts of own discipline. The job requires attention to detail in making evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information. This job typically requires a degree or equivalent and a minimum of 2 or more years experience.
