Join SS&C's Data Platform team to build AI-driven and data-centric tools that power middle and back-office operations for hedge funds and private markets. This is an entry-level role for aspiring engineers passionate about AI, software, and finance. You'll work alongside experienced developers to deliver scalable products that solve real problems in fund administration.

What You Will Get To Do:
- Build and maintain Python-based APIs and data pipelines
- Support development of AI/ML features (e.g. NLP, RAG, LLMs)
- Work with relational databases (SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL)
- Contribute to internal tools for reporting and workflow automation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, DevOps, Data)
- Learn agile, CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
What You Will Bring:
- Strong interest in finance, AI, and software engineering
- Proficiency in Python and SQL (academic or project-based)
- Familiarity with web frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Flask)
- Exposure to LLMs, LangChain, or data extraction is a plus
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related or a related field with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- 0 - 2 years of relevant experience
- Strong client service skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and commitment to timely, accurate production of client deliverables
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail
- Strong academic foundation in financial accounting

Actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, prior experience, education, demonstrated performance, and geographic location. New Jersey: The expected base salary for the position is between $83,000 USD to $85,000 USD.
In addition, employees in this role may be eligible for consideration on an annual basis for a discretionary bonus and/or equity awards, such as restricted stock units or stock options, based upon individual and business performance at the company's discretion.
