Job description

ACME, a division of the Albertsons Companies, is currently searching for a System Support Technician to join our team. The System Support Technician is responsible for receiving and processing orders.

The Computer Operator is responsible for monitoring, processing, and supporting retail and warehouse order activity for more than 450 store locations across Acme, Safeway, and Shaw's banner operations. This role serves as a key point of contact for retail partners, ensuring order accuracy, timely issue resolution, and effective communication through phone and email. Candidates must be able to work a 2nd shift schedule, including weekends., * Monitor, process, and maintain retail and warehouse orders for over 450 store locations, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment.

  • Identify, escalate, and report order exceptions, system issues, and operational deviations to leadership in a timely manner.
  • Communicate professionally with retail partners, distribution centers, and internal teams via phone and email to resolve order-related issues.
  • Utilize operating system tools and business applications including Microsoft Edge, Microsoft Office Suite, printers, and other support technologies.
  • Support daily operational activities and provide troubleshooting assistance for order processing, system access, and printing issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation while adhering to established operational procedures and service level expectations.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent; additional college coursework preferred.

  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and technologies.
  • Excellent attendance and dependability.

Preferred

  • Experience with Manhattan Warehouse Management System (WMS) or similar supply chain/order management platforms.
  • Experience supporting retail, warehouse, distribution center, or logistics operations.
  • Knowledge of retail order processing, warehouse order fulfillment, inventory, and transportation workflows.
  • Mainframe experience.
  • Basic PC, laptop, and printer troubleshooting experience.

Physical Environment

Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment. The position may require frequent walking throughout the Distribution Center and warehouse operation. Employees may be exposed to moving equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanized systems, and tractor-trailer traffic. Working conditions may include elevated noise levels, a fast-paced operational environment, and varying temperatures depending on the warehouse area. The position may require lifting equipment, cases, or materials weighing up to 40 pounds., The ideal candidate will have experience working in a distribution, retail, or warehouse environment and possess a strong understanding of order management processes. Experience with Manhattan WMS, warehouse operations, and retail order support is highly desirable.
