Job description
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team of software developers and engineers to build intuitive merchant- and consumer-facing web interfaces.
- Take full ownership of core services and feature delivery-from initial architecture and technical design through to deployment and production monitoring.
- Translate product requirements into functional, maintainable, and extensible software while identifying technical requirements in product planning meetings.
- Write automated developer tests for new features and update existing test suites to maintain low response times, high signal-to-noise quality, and optimal application performance.
- Partner with QA and engineering colleagues to develop comprehensive test strategies, perform root-cause troubleshooting, and resolve complex application issues.
- Participate in a regular team on-call rotation to maintain platform reliability and high availability for global merchants.

Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Software Delivery: 7+ years of professional experience designing, developing, delivering, and supporting critical enterprise web applications.
- Frontend Mastery: Strong proficiency with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, SASS/LESS, browser DOM APIs, and web build systems (e.g., Webpack, Gulp, Grunt).
- Modern Frameworks: Deep experience building responsive, highly accessible web applications using React, Next.js, or Ember.
- API & Data Engineering: Solid hands-on experience developing REST and GraphQL APIs, along with working knowledge of relational (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases and complex query design.
- Cloud & Automation: Experience working in cloud environments (preferably GCP) and writing automated web tests using modern frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Selenium).
- Modern Architectures & Tools: Proven experience in Agile environments using Git, with an understanding of modern web architectures (micro-frontends, Webpack Module Federation, service workers).
Experience that would be great to have
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with a track record of effective cross-functional teamwork.
- AI-Assisted Development: Proven experience leveraging AI software engineering tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, IDE plugins, AI coding agents) to optimize workflows, accelerate debugging, and elevate overall developer velocity.
- Back-End development or light knowledge in Java, Spring Boot & Microservices.

Salary Range
$140,000.00 - $210,000.00
These pay ranges apply to employees in Sunnyvale, California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.

For incentive eligible associates, the successful candidate is eligible for an annual incentive opportunity which may be delivered as a mix of cash bonus and equity awards in the Company's sole discretion.
