Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of our cloud infrastructure and automation processes. In this pivotal role, you will drive continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), optimize system reliability, and enhance our enterprise software deployment strategies. Your expertise will empower our development teams to deliver innovative solutions swiftly and securely, ensuring high availability and robust disaster recovery capabilities across diverse cloud platforms and on-premises environments. Join us to shape the future of our IT infrastructure with cutting-edge DevOps practices!, * Lead the development and maintenance of scalable, secure cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, OpenStack, and Azure.

  • Automate deployment processes through tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform, and PowerShell scripting to streamline software releases.
  • Manage containerization systems including Docker and Kubernetes to support microservices architecture and ensure high availability.
  • Monitor system performance using tools like New Relic, Splunk, Elasticsearch, and IT monitoring tools; perform root cause analysis for incidents and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Collaborate with development teams on requirements gathering for enterprise software projects; implement best practices for system testing, release management, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Administer virtualization technologies such as VMware and Virtualization platforms to optimize resource utilization.
  • Ensure cloud security protocols are followed by configuring firewalls, identity & access management policies, DNS settings, and network security measures.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in DevOps engineering with a strong background in cloud computing environments including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or OpenStack.
  • Deep knowledge of containerization systems such as Docker and Kubernetes for deploying scalable applications.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages including Python, Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell, Groovy, Perl, Ruby, Go, and C/C++.
  • Hands-on experience with build automation tools like Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, TFS (Team Foundation Server), GitHub/GitLab repositories.
  • Familiarity with enterprise software such as WebSphere Application Server, Weblogic Server, JBoss EAP; databases including MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle; and T-SQL/PL/SQL for database management.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components including UNIX/Linux administration, Windows Server environments, network administration (TCP/IP), DNS management, Active Directory integration.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs, web services architecture (SOAP/REST), TCP/IP protocols for distributed systems communication.
  • Experience implementing continuous integration/deployment pipelines (CI/CD) with incident response planning and high availability solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on technical troubleshooting support in complex IT environments; ability to manage multiple projects within an Agile framework.
