Application Support Analyst - Grid Operations Systems

Seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst to provide operational, maintenance, and technical support for a utility outage management and grid operations application. The role will support critical business operations, system enhancements, data analysis, infrastructure upgrades, and application configuration activities within an electric utility or similar mission-critical environment. Key Responsibilities

• Provide operational and maintenance support for an enterprise Outage Management System (OMS) and related grid operations applications.
• Support Pacific Time Zone business hours and participate in a shared on-call support rotation.
• Assist with application logic, business processes, workflows, and data analysis related to outage management operations, customer communications, and utility projects.
• Support database and operating system upgrades, including application configuration, testing, validation, and post-deployment activities.
• Collaborate with IT infrastructure, network, database, and application teams to maintain and enhance hardware and software environments.
• Perform data analysis and support reporting and data requests from SQL databases related to utility operations and outage events.
• Design, administer, monitor, and maintain application software configurations to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Develop, execute, and maintain automation using shell scripting and/or Python.
• Create, review, and maintain technical documentation, including configuration procedures, system logic documentation, test plans, and operational runbooks.
• Troubleshoot application, database, and server-related issues and provide timely resolution.

Bachelor's Degree required., * Experience supporting and maintaining an enterprise Outage Management System (OMS) or similar utility operations application.

• Experience working within an electric utility, energy, telecommunications, transportation, or other critical infrastructure environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of grid operations, outage management processes, and operational support functions.
• Hands-on experience with:

• SQL databases
• Python scripting
• Shell scripting
• Windows Server administration and operational support
• Application configuration and maintenance

• Experience performing data analysis and supporting business and operational reporting requirements.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional technical and business teams.
• Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
