Job description

Trilogy NextGen is seeking an experienced Senior React UI Developer to support one of our long-standing financial-services clients in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

This is a hands-on development role focused on designing and building modern, responsive, and scalable web applications using React and related front-end technologies. The selected candidate will work closely with product owners, UX designers, architects, API developers, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality user experiences for enterprise applications.

This position requires working onsite in Pittsburgh five days per week. Remote and hybrid arrangements are not available.

The successful candidate must become a direct employee of Trilogy NextGen. We will not respond to or entertain C2C, third-party consulting, subcontracting, or agency submissions. Trilogy NextGen will consider qualified candidates requiring a visa transfer and will use Premium Processing for eligible petitions., * Design, develop, test, and maintain complex user interfaces using React.

  • Build reusable, maintainable, and scalable front-end components.
  • Translate UX designs and business requirements into responsive, accessible web applications.
  • Integrate user interfaces with RESTful APIs and enterprise back-end services.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineering teams on application design and technical standards.
  • Improve application performance, usability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
  • Develop unit, integration, and automated front-end tests.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and production issues.
  • Mentor developers and promote front-end development best practices.
  • Follow enterprise security, accessibility, coding, and release-management standards.
  • Work directly with client stakeholders and cross-functional technology teams., * This position is available only through direct employment with Trilogy NextGen.

About the Engagement

Trilogy NextGen has an established, long-term relationship with this financial-services client. Although the initial engagement is expected to be at least 12 months, the contract structure allows the assignment to continue well beyond the initial term based on performance, project needs, and client approval.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional front-end or UI development experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on React development experience.
  • Strong experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Advanced knowledge of React concepts, including components, hooks, state management, routing, and reusable design patterns.
  • Experience with Redux, Redux Toolkit, Context API, Zustand, or another modern state-management framework.
  • Strong proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and modern CSS frameworks.
  • Experience integrating front-end applications with REST APIs.
  • Experience with front-end testing tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Strong understanding of browser behavior, performance optimization, debugging, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Experience using Git and modern CI/CD development practices.
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum delivery environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite in Pittsburgh, PA, five days per week., * Financial-services, banking, payments, or other regulated-industry experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience developing large-scale enterprise applications.
  • Experience with Material UI, Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap, or similar UI frameworks.
  • Familiarity with micro-frontend architecture.
  • Experience with Next.js.
  • Experience with Node.js or broader full-stack development.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Understanding of web accessibility standards, including WCAG and ARIA.
  • Experience with application-security practices, secure coding, and regulated environments.
  • Experience working with design systems and component libraries.
