Job description
Tiny Home Consulting is looking for a Full Stack Android Developer who enjoys solving challenging problems, building polished applications, and working alongside a collaborative team that values quality over bureaucracy.
We're a growing software development company based just outside Cincinnati. Our team is small by design, allowing every developer to have a meaningful impact on the products we build. You'll work closely with Product, UX, QA, and fellow engineers to deliver modern software solutions for clients across multiple industries.

What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin.
- Build and enhance backend services using C# and .NET.
- Design, consume, and improve RESTful APIs.
- Collaborate closely with Product, UX, QA, and DevOps throughout the development lifecycle.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical design decisions.
- Improve application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
- Contribute ideas that make both our products and our engineering team stronger.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong experience developing native Android applications using Kotlin.
- Experience with Jetpack Compose or traditional Android Views, Android Jetpack libraries, and MVVM architecture.
- Experience with Retrofit or similar networking libraries.
- Experience building or consuming REST APIs.
- Experience with C# and modern .NET (.NET Core/.NET 8 preferred).
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
- Experience working with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication.

Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Jetpack Compose
- Coroutines and Flow
- Espresso or other automated testing frameworks
- React
- JavaScript/TypeScript
- Docker
- AWS or Azure
- CI/CD pipelines
- Analytics and application telemetry, * Bachelor's (Required), * Software development: 2 years (Preferred)
- Mobile Development: 2 years (Preferred)
- Kotlin: 2 years (Preferred)
