Job description

We're growing our Shopify team to support the direct-to-consumer webshop of a leading international audio brand. It's a mature, high-volume Shopify Plus setup: multiple regions, multiple stores, customers across Europe, the UK, North America, Asia-Pacific and beyond. Expect real integration depth, with marketplaces, an ERP backend, custom checkout logic and dozens of connected apps. As a Shopify Developer you'll help build, extend and maintain this platform. You'll ship features, resolve production issues and improve how the shop connects to the wider commerce ecosystem. You'll work in a small, senior team with direct lines to the client, so your impact is visible from day one. Ready to add your 'Y' to our team? What you'll do Develop and maintain Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript across multiple regional storefronts. Build and extend a custom Shopify app: checkout UI extensions and Shopify Functions (JavaScript/TypeScript) for things like discount logic, cart transforms, delivery-address rules and checkout validation. Work with the Shopify Admin & Storefront APIs, webhooks, metafields and Shopify Flow to wire up store behaviour. Support multi-store operations: inventory and product sync across regional stores, translations, payment providers and marketplace feeds. Triage and resolve production incidents (monitoring via Rollbar) and keep a busy live platform healthy. Collaborate with the client and other vendors, track your work in Azure DevOps, and keep the technical documentation current.

Requirements

At least 4 years of experience as a developer, with a solid chunk on Shopify. Themes and Liquid are second nature, and you've worked with the Shopify APIs. Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with modern front-end tooling. A good grasp of ecommerce fundamentals: checkout, payments, catalog, orders. You write clean, maintainable code, use Git, and feel at home in a ticket-driven delivery flow. You work independently, communicate clearly in English, and enjoy owning problems end-to-end. A pragmatic, support-minded attitude. You like keeping real systems running, not just building greenfield. Nice to have Experience with Shopify Functions and checkout extensions. Shopify Plus and multi-store experience. Exposure to backend and middleware work. Our platform has a Ruby integration layer (on Heroku, with Sidekiq, Redis and Postgres) connecting Shopify to an ERP (EDI) and to marketplaces (ChannelAdvisor/Rithum, Channable). You don't need Ruby to start, but the curiosity to grow into it is a big plus. Familiarity with marketplace integrations, ERP order flows or PSP integrations. Shopify certifications.

Benefits & conditions

A permanent contract within a growing agency, with ambitious international clients and projects that have real technical depth. Flexibility in your working week and the option to work from home, so work and private life stay in balance. Extensive on-the-job training when you start, plus room for personal training and growth (including growing into the backend stack). A warm, informal company culture: the Nayan family, with team moments, town halls and collective training sessions. A pleasant workplace in the West Wing tower in Roeselare.
