Job description
Beyond developing new functionality, there's a significant challenge in achieving engineering excellence and DevOps maturity. The team is making great strides towards modern software development, and your expertise will be invaluable in this journey. You will contribute to:
- Further professionalizing the use of Docker within the development organization.
- Improving and expanding CI/CD processes.
- Implementing an effective feature branch strategy.
- Integrating SonarQube Quality Gates into the development lifecycle.
- Optimizing GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Further automating testing processes, including regression testing.
- Stubbing and mocking dependencies for automated testing.
- Expanding security and CVE scanning.
- Automating release processes.
- Improving monitoring, observability, and operational insights.
- Feeding back production findings to development for structural improvements.
- Preparing for the migration to Spring Boot 4.
- Assisting with the upgrade to Java 25., A challenging fulltime assignment in Den Bosch, starting September 2026, initially for 10 months (end date is end of June 2027), for 32-40 hours per week. You will work 3 days per week from the office, and the rest from home. ZZP is not possible for this assignment, you will work via a flex-contract with Independent Recruiters, with a salary of €5500-€6500 gross per month, based on 40-hour work week.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience with microservices architectures.
- Knowledge of Docker and containerization.
- Experience with CI/CD, preferably GitLab CI.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Experience with messaging solutions such as Solace or AMQP.
- Experience with BPM solutions such as Flowable is a plus.
- Knowledge of Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code solutions.
- Affinity with DevOps, automation, and software quality.
- Willingness to take responsibility for development and technical improvement.
