Job description

  • Provide first and second line IT support across a broad range of technologies and users.
  • Resolve IT incidents and service requests from end users.
  • Install, configure and support Windows devices, Microsoft 365 and business applications.
  • Support Active Directory administration.
  • Maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices and associated hardware.
  • Carry out daily system health checks and monitor backups.
  • Escalate more complex issues where appropriate and see them through to resolution.
  • Maintain technical documentation.
  • Support IT projects as the team continues to grow.
  • Visit other company sites when required.
  • Take part in an on-call rota.

Requirements

  • Experience with Windows desktop operating systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 installation and configuration.
  • Experience with Active Directory.
  • Experience with PC hardware support.
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts.
  • Experience with mobile device support.
  • Experience providing excellent customer service in a busy support environment.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure, communicate clearly, take ownership of issues, and enjoy helping people.

We are offering an IT Support Analyst role based in Southampton on a hybrid basis, with three days on site and two from home. This is a hands-on opportunity to grow your IT support skills in a role with clear opportunities for development and career progression. We support nearly a thousand colleagues across multiple locations and are focused on delivering a responsive, reliable service. We offer a salary of £28,000 to £32,000 depending on experience, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, company pension and life assurance, paid on-call allowance, employee discounts and Cycle to Work scheme, ongoing training and career development, and Employee Assistance Programme and wellbeing support.
