Job description

  • We design and deliver Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud solutions for new and existing customers.
  • We deploy and support on-premise systems.
  • We talk clients through actions face-to-face or over the phone to help set up systems or resolve issues.
  • We troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnose and solve hardware or software faults, and replace parts as required.
  • We provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
  • We demonstrate Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting expertise.
  • We support the roll-out of new applications.
  • We deal with escalations from our IT Technicians team.
  • We share knowledge and produce documentation as part of our team culture.

Requirements

  • We are looking for an experienced Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer with previous MSP experience.
  • We need someone who can deliver IT projects with minimal supervision.
  • We require experience deploying and supporting Microsoft 365 solutions.
  • We require experience designing and implementing Microsoft Azure (IaaS) solutions.
  • We require experience designing and implementing Windows Server technologies, including virtualisation.
  • We require experience with storage technologies such as NAS and SAN.
  • We require knowledge of wired and wireless networking.
  • We need someone who can test and evaluate new technology.
  • We require experience delivering cloud migration projects.
  • We need excellent telephone manner, strong communication skills, and a customer service focus.
  • We need strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple open cases.
  • We require the ability to build strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and other IT professionals.
  • We need a hands-on team ethic and a willingness to learn.
  • We require a full driving licence and access to your own transport.
  • Previous helpdesk or IT support experience is desirable.
  • Microsoft 365 or Azure certifications are desirable, or you should be working towards them.
  • Experience with firewall and network security technologies is desirable.
  • Experience with Hyper-V, VMware, and storage is desirable.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and migrations is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, including routing, VLAN, VPN, and wireless, is desirable.
  • Experience with VOIP telephony systems is desirable.
  • Automation and scripting using PowerShell is desirable.
  • Cyber security experience and familiarity with Cyber Essentials certification protocols is desirable.
  • We are especially interested in candidates who have, or are working towards, Microsoft certifications.
  • We require 3 years of IT support experience.
  • We require the ability to commute to Caerphilly CF83 3HU or relocate before starting work.
  • We require work authorisation in the United Kingdom.
