Job description

Checkpoint Solutions is looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You'll play a key role in designing, building and maintaining scalable infrastructure and deployment pipelines while mentoring junior engineers and driving engineering best practices.

Working closely with Product, QA and Development teams, you'll contribute to the technical direction of our infrastructure and help deliver high-quality, reliable systems that support business growth., * Design, develop and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure and deployment pipelines.

  • Lead technical design discussions and architectural decisions.
  • Write clean, maintainable and well-tested infrastructure-as-code.
  • Review code and mentor junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and platform improvements.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions.
  • Own and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling.
  • Champion system reliability, performance and security.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' commercial DevOps or infrastructure engineering experience.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar).
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with Git and version control workflows.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Desirable

  • Relevant cloud certifications (AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, Azure certifications, etc.).
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar).
  • Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical projects.
  • Background in security automation or compliance tooling.
