Job description

The Low Code Analyst is an on-site technical and analytical role located at Fort Washington, MD, directly supporting the Secretary of the Air Force (SAF) and the Concept Development Management Office, Enterprise Operations (CDME). This professional combines sharp business analysis skills with expertise in low-code/no-code platforms-specifically the Microsoft Power Platform suite (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse)-to design, build, and automate enterprise solutions. Operating at the intersection of business needs and technical delivery, the incumbent collaborates with program management, contracts personnel, and domain SMEs to streamline processes, create interactive dashboards, and deliver secure, scalable applications across the enterprise., The Low Code Analyst provides end-to-end technical solutions and process optimization using Microsoft Power Platform products and low-code technologies. They are responsible for gathering, documenting, and translating complex business requirements into well-architected applications, automated workflows, and data visualizations. They design end-to-end solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, and Azure integration services to enhance collaboration and operational efficiency. Furthermore, the incumbent leads governance, security vulnerability remediation, data gateway installation, unit testing, and user enablement, ensuring all low-code applications comply with federal security mandates (GCC-High / Azure Government). DUTIES:

  • Gathers and documents business requirements from stakeholders, maps workflows, and identifies operational inefficiencies.
  • Architects, develops, and supports custom applications, portals, and interfaces using Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
  • Creates automated business process flows, leveraging connectors, AI Builder, and robotic process automation (RPA).
  • Designs interactive Power BI reports and dashboards to convey actionable business intelligence and analytical insights.
  • Embeds Power Platform components into Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and custom web applications.
  • Designs and models database structures within Dataverse and SQL environments.
  • Installs, configures, and maintains enterprise data gateways.
  • Develops Azure Logic Apps and Azure Functions to extend Power Platform capabilities where custom integrations are required.
  • Governs low-code environments and remediates security vulnerability findings in compliance with DoD/DoW standards.
  • Conducts unit testing, system validation, feedback iteration, and bug resolution within an Agile framework.
  • Produces comprehensive technical documentation, architecture diagrams, user guides, and conducts end-user training.
  • Embodies and reinforces ISA's culture and mission-focused delivery approach.

Requirements

As a condition of employment, ISA employees must be able to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated Top Secret (TS) investigation with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility consistent with requirements set forth in U.S. law, federal regulation and executive order. Applicants must be able to submit documentation establishing U.S. Person status upon hiring. All ISA employees are required to uphold and maintain trustworthiness and suitability requirements of the U.S. federal government., Experience should include but is not limited to working knowledge of:

  • 3-5+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying low-code/no-code solutions, specifically utilizing the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse).
  • Proven track record in business process analysis, workflow optimization, and requirements gathering within a government or defense environment.
  • Hands-on experience developing within Microsoft 365 GCC-High and Azure Government secure cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in database modeling, SQL Server, and data integration techniques (e.g., SSIS, Dataverse, REST APIs).
  • Experience extending Power Platform capabilities using Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, or custom connectors.
  • Experience working in Agile software development environments utilizing tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with federal cybersecurity frameworks (NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, DFARS) as applied to application security and data governance.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills for interfacing with technical teams and executive leadership.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, Engineering, or equivalent experience. A master's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • New graduates with relevant internship experience will work well in entry-level roles.
  • For senior levels, relevant experience in a managerial position is an added advantage.

CERTIFICATION: Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II baseline certification requirements, such as one of the following:

  • CompTIA Security+ CE
  • CySA+
  • GSEC
  • SSCP

Additional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, Microsoft 365/Azure, PMP, Microsoft Power Platform certifications (e.g., PL-900, PL-100, PL-200, PL-400, or PL-600), or Certified CMMC Professional (CCP)) are strongly preferred. Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP)) are a plus.
