We are seeking a DevSecOps Software Engineer II to support the development of advanced communications and embedded software systems for next-generation defense platforms. In this role, you'll help design, implement, and maintain secure DevSecOps pipelines that enable the rapid development, testing, and deployment of software supporting UAVs, fighter aircraft, naval vessels, and ground-based military systems., Working alongside experienced software and systems engineers, you'll contribute to cutting-edge technologies including embedded computing, advanced satellite communications, secure networking, and cryptographic systems. This is an exciting opportunity to build secure software delivery pipelines while supporting mission-critical programs that protect and connect our nation's military., * Design, develop, and maintain secure DevSecOps pipelines supporting embedded software development in on-premises, air-gapped environments.
- Integrate development tools, automation frameworks, and software applications to streamline build, test, deployment, and release processes.
- Develop scripts and automation solutions to improve software integration and continuous delivery workflows.
- Build and maintain frameworks that automate software testing, deployment, and delivery throughout the development lifecycle.
- Support configuration management and version control processes to ensure secure, repeatable software releases.
- Collaborate with software, systems, cybersecurity, and infrastructure engineering teams to improve development efficiency and automation.
- Evaluate and implement new DevSecOps technologies and tools to enhance software delivery and engineering workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software integration, automation pipelines, and deployment processes.
- Participate in Agile development activities within a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment while supporting multiple engineering programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or another STEM discipline, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance is required.
- Experience with Git-based version control systems such as GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bamboo, or similar automation tools.
- Programming and scripting experience using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
- Experience working within Linux development environments.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices, software configuration management, and version control processes.
- Experience developing and deploying containerized applications using Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, or similar container platforms.
- Experience integrating software tools and applications using RESTful APIs.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment., * Experience with software artifact repositories such as JFrog Artifactory or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools including Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Experience administering or supporting Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Working knowledge of C, C++, or Java.
- Experience supporting multi-threaded embedded software development and system integration.
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and participation on Agile or SAFe teams.
- Experience supporting aerospace, defense, embedded systems, or secure communications programs.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently deliver high-quality work, meet project milestones, and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing engineering team.
