Job description

Insight Global is looking for a Backend Developer to join the team of one of our supply chain clients. Day-to-day, this position is highly focused on pure development efforts by designing, building, and testing Java-based services within a microservices environment. They will participate in all stages of the SDLC, from planning and coding to debugging, deployment, and ongoing improvements. Their work includes enhancing features based on user and performance feedback, troubleshooting software issues, and ensuring applications follow established standards and design patterns. They'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions and ensure smooth development and deployment workflows. The hourly rate is between $40-50/hr.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree

  • 4-7+ years of experience in software development using Java

  • Well-versed in Java, Springboot,Node.JS, JavaScript, and SQL/NoSQL

  • Experience with Docker and containerized application development -Familiar with REST and GraphQL for API integration

  • Knowledge of deploying serverless and microservices solutions within AWS such as Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and Kubernetes

  • Great communication skills and collaborative spirit

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  • Databricks and Kakfka experience -SAP experience, ideally S4 HANA

  • Background in the wholesale distribution industry
