Job description
- Lead the technical development of SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) applications while remaining an active contributor to the codebase.
- Provide technical leadership to a team of developers by driving coding standards, best practices, and solution implementation.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA, DevOps, and Solution Architects to deliver high-quality eCommerce solutions.
- Balance hands-on development with technical mentoring, code quality, and delivery ownership., * Design, develop, and enhance enterprise eCommerce applications using SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris).
- Serve as the technical lead for one or more Agile development teams.
- Develop complex features, custom extensions, integrations, and reusable components.
- Translate functional and technical requirements into high-quality application code.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Mentor and support developers through technical guidance, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with architects to implement approved solution designs and technical standards.
- Estimate development effort and participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues across development, testing, and production environments.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Work closely with QA to ensure comprehensive unit, integration, and functional testing.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release management.
- Contribute to technical documentation and development standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of software development experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) development experience.
- Proven experience leading development teams on enterprise eCommerce projects.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and secure coding practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Technical knowledge:
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) development.
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
- Experience developing and customizing:

- SAP Commerce Cloud certification.
- Experience with SAP Composable Storefront (Spartacus).
- Exposure to Headless Commerce architecture.
- Knowledge of cloud-native development and containerized deployments.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or Kibana.

The salary range for this opportunity is $116,000-$180,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
