Job description

SimVentions, Inc., a technology solutions company serving U.S. Department of Defense and federal customers, is seeking a Design Engineer (Electrical). In this role, you will design and develop electrical systems and components that integrate with advanced software, modeling and simulation, and cybersecurity solutions. You will create schematics and technical documentation, collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and support testing and troubleshooting to ensure reliable, compliant performance. Design and develop electrical systems and components for defense-focused IT and software solutions Create schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to support system integration Collaborate with systems, software, and cybersecurity engineers to ensure cohesive design solutions Perform analysis, modeling, and simulation to validate electrical designs and performance Support testing, troubleshooting, and resolution of electrical design issues Ensure designs meet Department of Defense and federal standards and compliance requirements Participate in design reviews, provide technical input, and refine solutions based on feedback Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and best practices Electrical circuit design PCB design and layout CAD/EDA tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD) Modeling and simulation of electrical systems Embedded systems and power electronics fundamentals Reading and creating schematics and wiring diagrams Design for reliability and manufacturability DoD/MIL-STD compliance knowledge Testing, debugging, and troubleshooting Technical documentation and configuration control Medical Insurance

Requirements

Professional Engineer (PE) - Electrical preferred or in progress Security clearance eligibility (DoD) strongly preferred Familiarity with MIL-STD and DoD standards Experience with CAD/EDA tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD) Knowledge of relevant electrical and safety codes/standards
