We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our dynamic IT team. - Install, configure, and maintain hardware components such as desktops, monitors, printers, and network devices to keep systems running smoothly.
- Troubleshoot operating system problems on Windows platforms and perform system administration tasks including user account management via Active Directory.
- Support network connectivity issues by diagnosing LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewall configurations, and other network-related problems.
- Assist with hardware maintenance, upgrades, and repairs to ensure optimal performance of computer hardware and peripherals.
- Manage help desk tickets efficiently by documenting issues accurately and providing timely updates to users.
- Collaborate with IT team members on system administration tasks such as Windows Server administration and maintaining IT infrastructure stability.
Requirements
- Proven experience in desktop support or IT support roles with a strong understanding of operating systems, particularly Windows environments.
- Technical proficiency in troubleshooting hardware failures, software issues, and network connectivity problems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other common business applications.
- Knowledge of Active Directory management for user account setup and permissions control.
- Experience with computer networking concepts including LAN setup, VPNs, firewalls, and basic network security protocols.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
